Members of the Forres Rotary Club have been busy picking up litter around the Greshop Industrial Estate, along the A96 and into town up as far as the Mosset burn. Volunteers collected fourteen bags of rubbish and other discarded items in just one hour on Saturday.
Shops and businesses around the town have put up window displays to commemorate Remembrance. Along with many landmarks, the Cluny Bank Hotel in St Leonard’s Road lit their building up in red to mark the occasion.
A short, socially distanced service was held today (8 November) to commemorate Remembrance Sunday. Poppy wreaths were laid around the war memorial and a small gathering of people came to watch the ceremony and observe the two-minute silence.
