Chip shop reopens a year after fire ravages building

A popular chip shop that was closed by a fire 12 months ago, has re-opened to the public.

The Forres Fish Bar on Fleurs Place suffered a devastating fire on 30 March last year.

Kimberly Welsh, who runs the fish bar with her partner John Morrison, said she was please to be opening today after months of work bringing the fish bar back to life.

Kimberley says the old favourites will still be there, but they will try a few new things on the menu, and she said burgers and pies would now come from local butchers.

The fish bar opened at noon today, 25 March.
