George Alexander gets MBE in King’s Honours

Town stalwart George Alexander has been made an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to the community in Forres.

George, 73, is well-known throughout the town. After retiring from a career in teaching, he served as a councillor for ten years, was made a burgess of the town in 2015, and still keeps his hand in with many good causes, including the Forres Heritage Trust and Forres Community Activities Association.

  1. Very well deserved recognition for George, committed to the community and one of the sanest councillors I encountered @MorayCouncil
