Forres Crafters’ annual Christmas pop-up shop opens in Tolbooth

Forres Crafters started their pop-up shop today. The co-operative of 11 local craft businesses have joined together to create a marketplace of their hand-made wares.

Pictured are Kaye Scott (Kaye’s Cards) who makes gifts from paper and felt, and Heather Kellas (Just for You) who makes handbags, cushions and other things from Harris Tweed.

The shop is in the ‘rent room’ on the ground floor of the Tolbooth till 17 December from 10am till 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Their message for the Forres public is that browsers are welcome but if you see something you like, buy it now, as each item is hand-made and no two things are the same.

Heritage Trust raffle

Forres Heritage Trust, who own the Tolbooth building is also holding a raffle while the pop-up shop is open. Prizes of a large hamper and other donated gifts can be seen in the Tolbooth’s foyer, and more items will be added. Tickets: £2 each or £5 for three. Funds support the work of the Forres Heritage Trust.
