Two winners of the Guy Fawkes competition, run by the Rotary Club of Forres will burn on top of the bonfire tonight in Grant Park.
Ten guys ‘applied’ for the ‘top’ position of being burnt when the bonfire is lit at 6:30pm.
Club president Brian Higgs judged the competition and picked two winners
He gave a joint first place to the ‘Covid Guy’ from Dallas Primary School and the ‘VIP guy’ by the 1st Forres Brownies.
The ‘Covid Guy’ defied the regular depiction and was made up to look like a covid virus.
Brian said he couldn’t not see the Covid virus go up in flames, but he also wanted to award a prize to a traditional guy as well.
