A popular local bakery with two shops in Forres will open another this month, as it expands to the Enterprise Park.
Maclean’s Highland Bakery will open the takeaway snack shop known as ‘Fresh Horizons’ at Horizon Scotland, serving the business park and passing customers with its well-known fare. People will be able to take away their bakes or eat on-site in the large seating area.
The bakery is headquartered at the Greshop Industrial estate, with a high street outlet on Forres High Street. It also has a shop in Grantown-on-Spey.
The outlet was formerly operated by Rachel Philp, who left last month, after running the cafe and takeaway for several years.
Maclean’s retail manager Kevin Reid said: “It has been a very quick move and an exciting opportunity for us.”
The award-winning bakery will offer it’s full range, including hot breakfast rolls, award-winning savoury pies, filled rolls, and cakes for afternoon tea.
They will open next Thursday, 10 November and will operate from 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

Fresh Horizons is an excellent cafe with top quality food, in a quiet, very spacious social area equiped with a sunny balcony set over rock and water gardens.
Ideal for small group discussions, such as our local STEAMIE, lunch or just a quick refreshment before heading west on the Forres by-pass.
