A Forres nail technician working from home has been voted the best in the north despite only just clocking up her first year in business.
Shannon Mason has been operating for just 13 months from her Grantown Road home, and decided to enter her business for the award after feeling a sense of pride in her work.
The Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards, run by Etiom to celebrate excellence in the industry, went virtual this year to avoid the mass gathering of people at an award ceremony.
The North of Scotland coverage area stretches from Dundee to Orkney, and the awards ceremony was streamed over the internet, so everyone could still take part.
She said: “I entered my business because I know how valuable an award-winning title could be in terms of showing the public that my business is of a high standard, and despite my business being relatively new I take enormous pride in the standard of my work and I wanted to celebrate that by taking part in the competition.
“I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all my clients for their custom over the past year, their support over a particularly challenging first year of business has been worth its weight in gold to me, and I am so pleased to be sharing my success with them.
