As thousands of people across the country are getting ready to ‘clap for carers’ at 8pm tonight (Thursday 2 April), pipers from Forres are invited to tune up from home and play along.
The call comes from The National Piping Centre in Glasgow, and with tonight’s dry skies, could potentially make for the biggest mass pipe ‘event’ ever witnessed.
Last week in Forres, pipers joined their neighbourhood to add their musical contribution.
The second Clap for Carers is also widening its audience, now to include all keyworkers, that is everyone who is working in an ‘essential’ role. However, pipers are reminded to follow the guidelines on social distancing by going outdoors but staying within their own property.
Pipers from Canada, the USA, Japan, Spain and Italy are expected to take part.
Come on Forres, let’s hear it for the carers and keyworkers of Scotland.
