People in Forres have told us they’ve seen the buses coming down the high street but curious as to why they didn’t stop, or why Forres doesn’t appear on its timetable.
We asked Ember’s Head of Network Tim Capper to explain and he said: “We are delighted to hear that people in Forres would like to use our service.
“Ember’s new service between Aberdeen and Inverness will be getting many more stops, including in Forres, later in the year.
“We would like to have been able to serve Forres immediately. The registration process for new bus routes means we cannot serve every stop we would like to until we have gone through a consultation process.”
The current timetable includes stops at:
- Inverness
- Nairn
- Elgin
- Keith
- Inverurie
- Blackburn
- Aberdeen Airport
- Aberdeen P&J Live
- Aberdeen Union Street
- Bridge of Don Park & Ride

I will definitely use these buses when they stop in Forres because I’m fed up complaining to Stagecoach about freezing cold buses in Winter and no toilet or comfort stop on the M96 bus. Also the new M96 electric buses have less leg room and a stupid step up to them.
