New defibrillator installed at Soccer 7s thanks to Keiran’s Legacy fundraising

A new life-saving defibrillator has been installed in Grant Park thanks to Keiran’s Legacy and the recent Kiltwalk events.

The new device is located at the Soccer7s and Bowling Club Pavilion off South Street in Forres and will be available 24 hours a day for anyone to use in the event of an emergency.

Kieran’s Legacy is a charity set up by Sandra McKandie following the tragic death of her son at the age of 16.

Sandra, who campaigns tirelessly to raise money for defibrillators, said: “This is directly due to the monies raised by our amazing Kiltwalkers and all who donated to our Kiltwalk challenge.

“Keiran played at Soccer 7s at Mosstowie School and had a great time with his pals and got to meet a whole lot more. Sport brings people together, improves physical ability, improves mental health and social isolation.”
