More evidence of early settlers found on Cluny Hill

An archaeological dig that started last year has found more evidence of an early settlement on Cluny Hill.

A team from the National Museum of Scotland and the University of Glasgow visited Forres in September to continue their research on what appears to be remains of a hill fort on Cluny Hill above Forres.

This year’s dig has unearthed more evidence of a settlement. The dig was led by former Forres Academy student Leif Isaksen, who is now Professor of Digital Humanities at Exeter University.
