Still no mixing indoors at home as Moray stays in Level One

Restrictions in Moray will stay at Level One despite an increase of 73% in positive cases in the county over the last week.

The First Minister made the announcement today in a review of protection levels across Scotland. The number of cases in Moray is low, so such a high percentage is not a great cause for concern, however, it means we’re not moving out of Level One and still can’t socialise with other households indoors.

Nicola Sturgeon updated Parliament today on the weekly review of the new covid protection levels for local authorities across Scotland.

MSP Richard Lochhead commented: “Although the number of cases remains low, this increase is a reminder that the virus is still here, and shows how important it is that we continue to stick to the guidance. If you’re unsure what you can and cannot do, please use the postcode checker, which you can find here:https://www.gov.scot/check-local-covid-level.

“I absolutely recognise that these restrictions are tough and we’re all making huge sacrifices to reduce the spread of the virus locally. Please stick at it and let’s all do our bit to keep our community safe.”
