Do you know an unsing hero, a person who makes a difference?
The Rotary Club of Forres are looking to give their next ‘Citizen of the Year’ trophy to someone who goes the extra mile for their community in Forres, and are now seeking nominations from the public.
President Tanya McLaren said: “We are looking for people to recommend someone who is an unsung citizen, who goes above and beyond for their community and might not otherwise get recognition.
Last year, the award went to Debbie Herron, and previous winners have included Flicker Duncan, Davie Cooper, Donna Philip, Tish Murray and Kerry Speed, all for their contribution to the local community.
“We’re looking for people who just get on with it, who wouldn’t normally get recognition.”
“There have been a lot of people who have gone to extra lengths to help others this year, so if you know someone who has made the effort to support their community then let us know.
You can nominate your outstanding Forres citizen by emailing sheenarotary@gmail.com
The recipient will get a trophy and certificate.
