Grant Park filled with joy and laughter as snow brings families out for day of sledging fun

Today might have been the busiest day Grant Park has seen all year with hundreds of youngsters and their parents flocking to the public space.

Despite lockdown limiting indoor and outdoor socialising, almost remarkably, there was nothing to stop anyone venturing out in the first proper snow we’ve had all year and having a great day out.

Families wrapped up, took out their sledges kept themselves to themselves, some building snowmen and rolling giant snowballs.

The park was positively ringing out with the sounds of family fun. What a tonic for the times.

Meanwhile, other parts of the town were looking as pretty as a picture with a dusting of snow.
