Travellers have set up camp on a grassy area beside Horizon Scotland, just as HIE have totalled the cost of the damage from a previous encampment.
On Monday 5 August, a summer bank holiday, five caravans, along with towing vehicles, dogs, chickens, generators, gas bottles and milk churns appeared in the same spot.
We understand the cost to HIE from damage and cleaning up after the previous encampment will be around £5000 including removing litter and repairing damage to the wooden posts which surrounded the area.
Access appears to have been gained from the same spot where the fence posts had been cut away.
Travellers camped here at the end of May and beginning of June.
