Police: Sudden death of woman not being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed the death of a woman in Forres is not being treated as suspicious. Officers have been on the scene investigating the circumstances and cordoned off a house at Market Street while enquiries were taking place.

A police spokesman said: “Officers were called at around 4.20am on Saturday 18 July to Logie Terrace in Forres following the sudden death of a 27-year-old woman.

“We can confirm the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”

No further information is available.
