A Forres businessman was named Director of the Year for the Highlands and Islands last night (9 December).
Alan James, who is managing director of AJ Engineering and Construction Ltd, was given the award in a live online ceremony by TV and radio presenter Shereen Nanjiani, representing the Institute of Directors (IoD).
Alan has led the company since its foundation in 1999, and in recent years it has made acquisitions and expansions.
Earlier this year, a new multi-million pound facility at Waterford was opened by The Princess Royal when she visited Forres.
The company has become recognised for its investment in training young people and running apprenticeship schemes.
