Beacon burns under a fiery Findhorn sky as jubilee celebrations get under way

A flaming beacon burned on Findhorn Beach last night to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

A large crowd gathered to watch as the flaming torch burned against the backdrop of a fiery sunset and the sound of the Kinloss Military Wives Choir singing a specially-written song ‘A Life Lived with Grace’.

The Findhorn Village Conservation Company and other local groups have pulled together a varied programme of activities over the weekend. See all events.

Meanwhile in Forres, the Pipe Band played Diu Regnare and the Forres Youth Choir sang the jubilee song, and Imogen Symon played ‘Majesty’ on the cornet.
