Forres Academy pupil Holly Innes was chosen as the town’s Highland Games junior chieftain .
The S6 pupil accompanied drum major Mike Munro, at the 96th games today in Grant Park, Forres.
Holly, who works part-time at Brodie Countryfare, was put forward by headteacher Jan Sinclair. She was chosen for her commitment to schoolwork. Mike has been involved with the Forres and District Pipe Band for several decades.
She is pictured here in the sunken gardens all dressed up for the occasion.
Holly said: “It was an honour to be picked and a pleasure to be a part of it.
“It was a lot of fun to see how the games was run from a different perspective and being able to watch all the talented competitors was great. I would also like to thank the Highland Games team for making it a great day.”
Holly’s dad John said: “My wife and I think it’s a fantastic achievement and honour to be asked to do this role, and for her family to be asked as guests of honour at the Forres Highland Games.
“A great day out and the hospitality from the games people was second to none.”
