William and Kate wow crowds during visit to Forres farm and Burghead Community Garden

Prince William and his wife Kate visited the area today and met with organisations supporting young people with mental health.

The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay’s first stop was at Burghead Primary School and the town’s community garden, where they met with local charity Outfit Moray and chatted with onlookers.

Outfit Moray run courses for youngsters, and William and Kate rode some of their bikes around the the course which has been built at the garden.

One onlooker said: “What a lovely couple. I shook the hand of the prince, but then went along a bit and got to shake Kate’s as well. It’s made my day. I told Kate her hair was beautiful, and she seemed to like the compliment.”

They then headed to Brodieshill Farm near Forres, where they met owners, the Manson family, members of the Lower Speyside Young Farmers Club and representatives from Farmstrong Scotland and told the Royals about their work with the Are Ewe Okay? campaign against mental health stigma.
