As a media website, we often publish articles which may have differing or opposing views. Commenting is allowed on our social media platforms and on our websites, and sometimes comments get heated and antagonise those differences.
Sometimes, these are referred to as trolls, because they hide their identity. There is no way for us to identify commenters, so we base our policy on the content of posts, and repetition of actions.
Our policy on this matter is:
Posts will be deleted if they are rude to individuals, use offensive language, make libellous remarks, digress from the topic, or make any comment which is unfair to the purpose of the article or the people referred to in it (or commenting on it).
Users will be banned if they repeatedly require moderation for the above ‘offences’, or for any other reason that we believe to be valid.
