More than 100 people signed up to take part in the Forres 2021 Window Wanderland, to spread love and light in these dark times. And they didn’t disappoint. The town is awash with bright, colourful windows. Even businesses have got in on the act (Businesses join in with community arts project to share the love)
Just take a look at these beautiful window displays, spread all over the town. And they will still be there for two more days. Tonight and tomorrow (Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February)
The Window Wanderland has been organised by Findhorn Bay Arts, and there’s two ways you can enjoy it. Go out on the streets, wrap up warm and observe social distancing rules.
Or look online and follow the hashtags. You’ll not only see our pictures, but the many that people have taken and tagged with #windowwanderlandforres
There’s also a Google map at the bottom of the Window Wanderland Forres page which shows all the locations.
Here’s our top viewing tips
- Don’t bother downloading the PDF because you can’t zoom in on it
- Look at the Google map in advance, find the area you want to explore, then screenshot it (because even the ‘live’ map gets a little fiddly on a phone, and 4G not 100% reliable)
- Wrap up warm and where sensible shoes
Here’s just some of your lovely creations. Pictures by Marc Hindley and Paul Campbell.
What a wonderful effort you have all made.

What a great idea to brighten our lives! Hope they remain in place for a long time.
