At least six fire crews are on the scene at moorland locations around Altyre, Logie Windfarm and Tomnamoon, south of Forres.
Similar scenes last month saw firefighters battle wildfires in Moray for days, until they brought it under control.
The public are advised to keep away from single track roads in the area where possible to allow access for fire engines.
