First Minister Nicola Sturgeon could announce further restrictions tomorrow, due to the continued increase in Covid-19 infections.
Eight hundred new infections were recorded overnight.
In her briefing today, Nicola Sturgeon said: “The Government will be considering the latest clinical evidence and advice today and the cabinet will considering the up to date situation when it meets tomorrow.
“I want to promise you that we do not impose restrictions lightly. If we do decide that extra restrictions are necessary it is because we deem it necessary and vital to get the virus back under control and avoid unnecessary loss of life.”
“The best thing all of us can do is comply with the current rules and guidelines that are in place.”
We’ll bring you news of any changes as they happen.
