Community groups in Forres helping vulnerable people could be eligible for a grant of up to £750, and those supporting people with the most essential needs such as food, housing and basic necessities — such as heating — are encouraged to apply.
A fund of £5000 is being distributed by TSI Moray on behalf of Foundation Scotland.
Edward Fitsell, funding and governance officer at TSI Moray, said: “We want to make sure these funds can have the most impact possible.”
‘’Community groups that are supporting people in emergency situations know what is happening in their local area. They can see where people are exposed or vulnerable and this fund is here to support that.”
TSI Moray, along with the rest of the Third Sector Interface network, has been asked by Foundation Scotland to be one of their strategic partners to deliver this, the second phase of the Response, Resilience and Recovery (RRR) Fund
“No community has been left untouched by this pandemic, says Mr Fitsell. “We are proud to be able to work in this partnership with Foundation Scotland to distribute these funds. It is a partnership that aims to make sure funding gets to the people who need it most.”
The deadline for applications is Monday 23 November and all applications will be considered after this date. Groups will receive notification about the outcome of applications by Friday 11 December. Successful organisations will receive awarded funds by the end of December.
