Eighteen fruit trees have been planted in Mannachie Park by the newly-formed Forres Community Orchards Group (FCOG).
Mannachie was the most popular choice arising from a consultation with local people last September.
Forres Local spoke to FCOG member Nick Molnar who said he hoped the orchard could be seen as a symbol of hope for the future.
