Event Series Event Series: Wildlife Walk

Wildlife Walk

15 April at 10:30 am 3:00 pm

Choose from Coastal or Woodland walks as shown below.   These walks are for adults, and as the terrain may be rough you will need to have a basic level of fitness.  As these are wildlife walks please leave your dog at home.

Saturday 15th April – Cullen to Findlater Castle – 10:30-15:00

We will meet at Cullen (precise location given on booking) and walk the rugged coast path to Findlater Castle, where a minibus will be waiting to take us back to Cullen.

This fantastic stretch of coastline is a great spot to watch dolphins, otters and seabirds. On this walk, we will search for these charismatic species and delve into the areas fascinating history and geology.

The walk is roughly 5 kilometres long and follows uneven terrain. Please bring sturdy footwear, clothing for all weathers and a packed lunch and drink. Please bring binoculars if you have them.

Sunday 2nd July – Loch Morlich – 11:00-15:00

We will meet at Loch Morlich and walk round one of the most scenic Loch’s Scotland has to offer.

We will explore the Caledonian pine forest and the captivating wildlife native to the area, as well as the history and geology of the loch and surrounding mountain environment.

The walk is roughly 5 kilometres long and follows uneven terrain.  Please bring sturdy footwear, clothing for all weathers and a packed lunch and drink.  Please bring binoculars if you have them. There is a charge for the car park so please bring some change.

Sunday 30th July – Nairn Bar – 11:00-15:00
We will meet at the Kingsteps car park east of Nairn and take a stroll through Culbin Sands Nature Reserve.

This varied walk will take in woodland, wetland and coast providing lots of opportunities for birding, wildflower identification and general exploration!

The walk is roughly 5 kilometres long and follows uneven terrain.  Please bring sturdy footwear, clothing for all weathers and a packed lunch and drink.  Please bring binoculars if you have them.
