Foraged Food Workshops

At Wild Things we love foraging, but what do you do with your foraged food once you have taken it home? We have a series of workshops to help you make the most of your foraged plants. With guidance on what you will find locally and what to do with it. These workshops will take place indoors in Findhorn starting at 6.30pm
Lotions 22nd June 2024
With a focus on hedgerow plants our knowledgeable instructor will show you how to make some delightful goodies such as lip balm, powders, bathtime tea bags, hair washes, and tinctures.
Drying 6th July 2024
How to preserve your foraged food by making it into powders, mixtures, teas salts and sugars. This workshop will focus on herbs and seaweed.
Fermenting 17th August 2024
How to make green, herbal pastes, salt brines and wet and dry ferments. Fermented food is absolutely excellent for your microbiome.
Cooking 31st August 2024
How to use all this wonderful preserved food! We go over baking it into biscuits and shortbread, making seaweed oatcakes, herb salts, and nettle soup.
Jams and Chutneys 28 September 2024
A brilliant way to use and preserve the berries in abundance at this time of year. Learn how to make your own on this workshop.
