Police have confirmed that a death reported in the Califer area is believed to be missing man Antony Rodgers.
At around 12:30 pm today (Saturday 4 January 2020), police received a report of the death of a man.
Although formal identification has still to be carried out, officers believe it to be 57-year-old Antony Rodgers, missing from Elgin since Tuesday 31 December 2019.
Searches were carried out in the Forres area using police dogs and local officers were being assisted by a specialist search advisor.
Mr Rodgers’ family has been informed and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
