Forres loves local businesses

What makes people love local businesses?
Forres Loves Local

We work with Forres businesses to promote the town as a whole, and encourage shoppers to shop locally wherever possible.

In 2023, we were named Best Digital Community in Scotland by Scotland’s Towns Partnership.

Our social enterprise is a business member of Scotland’s Towns Partnership who run a nationwide ‘ScotlandLovesLocal’ movement and we have adopted the same branding for our own local campaign. Look out for the ‘Forres Loves Local’ logo in shop windows.

All-inclusive independent local support

Moray Local CIC is our parent company limited by guarantee, which means we have no shareholders and we don’t pay dividends to our directors who all work as volunteers.

We are an independently run organisation to support local businesses, community organisations and events.

We receive no funding from local or central Government, are not in a BID (Business Improvement District), and are not a membership organisation, so all our work is the result of passionate support for our community, and excludes no-one.

The following services are free to use in order to help business promote themselves locally.

Consultancy and content creation

Organisations with similar community objectives, can call on us for consultation services, and local commercial businesses can also get help with marketing, PR and content.

We encourage business owners to use the hashtags #ForresBusiness and #ForresLovesLocal in their posts, as we do in our business-related posts. This is an easy way to group together all business-related news and information, posted by anybody.
